You have helped me incredibly and I don’t know what I would have done without you. Thank you for being patient with me and understanding that this is overwhelmingly hard to do and put into words someone’s life when your head is all over the place, but amazingly you took those little pieces of jumbled up information and turned it into something beautiful and meaningful. You have not just helped me by putting together dad’s service but you have helped me by showing me warmth and understanding during the worst time of my life, and to do what you do so often and for so many people and still show incredible compassion and empathy for me as an individual says so much about you as a person and I think you are amazing.

Having never had to arrange a funeral before, we found you so kind and extremely helpful. You have a wonderful personality and are definitely a people person. You have so much patience and put together a fantastic service for our brother, as you know we just didn’t have a clue what to do or where to start. We are eternally grateful to you Judi.

We are still talking about yesterday. Everyone thought that you were fantastic and it came across to us just how much you care for families going through bereavement, we can tell this is more than a job to you by the wonderful gentle way you guided us through the service. Dad has agreed to have hearing aids now! He was delighted when I gave him the printed book of the service that you gave to us. We can never thank you enough for making a day that we were dreading into a calm and beautiful tribute to mum. Thanks again Judi. We will never forget you.

After meeting you Judi and you listening to us talk about our Mum you put together, on paper, together with the music we chose, a lovely service.

On the day you delivered a wonderful tribute to our Mum which flowed and was perfect. All our family commented on how well you led the ceremony and how proud you made us all feel. A moving, emotional day to remember. Thank you so much Judi for your attentive care and attention on a very special day.

I would like to thank you once again for your part in our mother’s final farewell. You did an amazing job and I am eternally grateful. Please feel free to use this testimonial, and please add my name and that of my mother’s if you wish …. and before I go, you may want to re-condsider the use of flash on your website. Flash is buggy, slow loading and iPhones definitely do a poor job at rendering them :)

"We had originally wanted a Roman Catholic priest to conduct my mother’s service, unfortunately, we couldn’t arrange this, as our mother’s wishes didn’t align with those of the church. Judy was recommended to us. She was amazing! We ended up with a ceremony that encompassed both a religious feel and a reverence for my mother’s wishes. Without her we would have struggled to find the right tone, the aesthetic and the words to accompany our mother’s farewell.

From choice of prayers, the reading and the correct ‘Elvis’ track, I have nothing but admiration and praise for this ladies sensibilities towards our families wishes. Thank you from all of us.”

My Celebrant Journey

It all began when I was 19 years old and I lost my Granny in a car accident. Our Funeral Director was an amazing lady and she inspired me. It was felt at the time I was too young to pursue a career in the Funeral Industry, so I became an Insurance Underwriter for around 28 years.

Following redundancy and other factors in my life, I decided to become a Funeral Celebrant training with Greenfuse in Devon.

Since making that decision , I have never looked back and feel privileged to have been there for so many families at a time they needed me since 2018.
